Superstar was originally a low-top version of the high-top basketball shoe Pro Model, but it became well-known for its unique and eye-catching rubber toe shape and was vividly called shelltoe. In the 1970s, nearly 3/4 of NBA players used this pair of Superstar as a court shoe in American professional basketball.
